- Why Tennessee: “I chose Tennessee because I really love the environment that the coaches are creating. I really love my high school coaches and team so I wanted to find a place where I would find a similar culture. When talking with Coach Carlson he said that the most important things in order are faith, family, academics, and then athletics which is something my high school coach says all the time, so I feel like Tennessee is going to be a place where I am valued more as a person than a runner which is important to me.”
