Ogwoka Collects All-SEC Honors To Lead UT At SEC Championships

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Competing on its home course at Cherokee Farms, the Tennessee cross country program turned in a pair of top-10 team finishes Friday morning as it hosted the 2025 Southeastern Conference Cross Country Championships. The Lady Vols, ranked No. 27 nationally, placed seventh in the women's 6,000-meter race, while the men's squad took ninth overall in the 8,000-meter competition.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee men's and women's cross country program will open up the 2025 postseason at home as Knoxville will play host to the 2025 SEC Cross Country Championships on Friday. The conference meet will begin at 10 a.m. ET from Cherokee Farms Cross Country Course along the banks of the Tennessee River.

#30 Lady Vols Shine with Fourth-Place Team Finish at Pre-National Invitational

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Led by another standout performance from freshman Mary Nyaboke Ogwoka, the No. 30 Tennessee women's cross country team placed fourth out of 38 programs in a deep field at the Pre-National Invitational on Friday at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course. The Lady Vols totaled 219 points and finished ahead of No. 3 Florida, No. 23 Boston College and six other SEC foes — Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Texas, Ole Miss and Georgia.

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Tennessee cross country wraps up the 2025 regular season on Friday in Columbia, Missouri, competing in a field of more than 40 Division I programs at the Pre-National Invitational. The Lady Vols will race in the women's invitational 6K at 11 a.m. ET, followed by the Vols in the men's invitational 8K at 11:45 a.m.
