KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The 19th-ranked Tennessee men's tennis team will begin a three-match home stretch on Sunday, taking on Kentucky at 1 p.m. at Barksdale Stadium.
A live stream will be provided for fans here, and live stats will also be available here. Admission is free to fans, and tennis parking will be available on West Volunteer Boulevard and at the top of the CI7/NC7 garage located next to Barksdale Stadium.
LAST TIME OUT
UT (10-5, 1-3 SEC) picked up its first win of conference play against Arkansas. The Vols were able to rally and pick up the doubles point before earning singles wins from Alex Kotzen, Jose Garcia and Ian Cruz.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Kentucky (9-5, 2-2 SEC), ranked 27th nationally in the ITA rankings, is coming off a 6-1 loss to Georgia this past Friday. The Wildcats boast four ranked singles individuals, as Jaden Weekes, Antoine, Ghibaudo, Charlelie Cosnet and Jack Loutit are slotted.
Last year, Kentucky went 27-3 with an undefeated conference mark and made an NCAA Quarterfinals appearance in postseason play.
All time, Tennessee is 68-47 against the Wildcats, boasting a 33-20 record at home. Kentucky has won the past two battles against the Vols, with victories coming in the 2023 SEC Tournament and last season in Lexington. UT earned its last triumph during the final home match of the 2023 regular season, acquiring a 4-0 sweep.
