- Won his first two career main draw matches in front of his hometown crowd to reach the round of 32 at the SEC Fall Classic
- Reached fourth round of the USTA/ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships in Knoxville, one of four Vols to do so. He won his second-round match in a third-set tiebreaker over Alex Gornet of Louisville.

- Blue chip recruit and ranked as high as sixth nationally by tennisrecruiting.net
- Three-time Tennessee AAA state high school champion for Ravenwood High School Earned a USTA gold ball by winning the 2012 Boys 18s National Clay Court doubles championship
