HIGH SCHOOL
Graduated from Polk County High School in Benton, Tenn., where he was coached by Bill Triplett. Was named to the 2011 MaxPreps All-American 1st team, the Chattanooga Times Free Press 2011 All-Area Player of the Year, 2011 Southeast Region Honorable Mention Team, All-State Baseball team (2008, 2009, 2010), Chattanooga Times Free Press Best of Preps Baseball team (2008, 2009, 2010), District 5-AA Player of the Year (2009, 2010).
Helped lead the Wildcats to a 24-13 record in the 2011 season, hitting .514 with 62 RBIs and 14 homeruns.
In his junior season, he led the Wildcats to a 26-12 record and a District 5-AA Region 3 Championship.
Hit .539 with 51 RBIs and 16 home runs.
A two-sport standout, he lettered four years in football at quarterback and defensive back.
Helped the Wildcats win back to back District 5-AA Championships (2009, 2010) and earned 2009 District 5-AA Offensive Player of the Year honors as well as being named to the 2009 Chattanooga Times Free Press Best of Preps Football team.
