• Graduated from Meigs County High School in Decatur, Tenn., where he was coached by Justin Jennings. • Was named a 2011 Rawlings All American and Southeast Region All-High School Honorable Mention, 2011 All-Area Second Team, All-District 5-AA (2008-2010), All-Area (2008-2010), Team MVP (2008-2010), 2009 TBCA Super Sophomore team, 2009 TBCA Showcase team and 2009 TBCA All-Region.
• Led Meigs County to a 12-5 record his senior campaign.
• In his junior season, the Tigers[apos] leadoff hitter hit .460 with four home runs, 24 RBIs, 27 stolen bases and 34 runs scored.
• Lettered one year in football.
