April 14, 2026 | Men's Tennis
COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Tennessee men's tennis will open up the 2025-26 postseason by participating in the SEC Championship as the No. 15 seed, competing against No. 10 seed Ole Miss in the first round on Wednesday at 10 a.m. CT at the Mitchell Tennis Center.
LAST TIME OUT
Last Sunday afternoon, the Big Orange dropped the final match of the regular season to No. 12 Ole Miss in 4-0 fashion. UT didn't go down without a fight, forcing four singles courts to need extra stanzas to decide the outcome.
TENNESSEE IN THE SEC CHAMPIONSHIP
This marks the 36th year the Volunteers have participated in the SEC Championship. The Vols have had a great deal of recent success in the SEC Championship, making the semifinals the past six years the tournament has been played (not including the 2020 season affected by the pandemic). UT won the SEC Tournament championship in 2021.
SCOUTING THE REBELS
Tennessee dropped the first matchup this season against (then) No. 24 ranked Ole Miss, 4-0, in Oxford on April 4. Ole Miss ended the year with a win against No. 22 Kentucky to improve to its record to 18-8 for the dual season, including 6-8 in conference play.
Despite the recent victory by the Rebels, Tennessee still holds an advantage in the all-time series, 38-29, in 67 prior meetings.
REBELS IN THE RANKINGS
Singles
#81 - Stefano D'Agostino
#119 - Matthieu Chambonniere
Doubles
# 26 - Isac Stromberg/Kai Milburn

The winner of Wednesday morning's contest advances to the second round, where it will meet No. 7 seed South Carolina on Thursday. First serve will be at 2 p.m. CT at Mitchell Tennis Center in College Station, Texas.
