Tennessee men's tennis fell to No. 3 Texas, 4-0, on Friday night in Austin at the Texas Tennis Center.

Doubles started out as a back-and-forth competition, with both teams trading points in the first few games. UT's duo of Woodson McMillin and Piotr Siekanowicz split the first six games between Texas's No. 3 partnership. The Longhorns were eventually able to pull away from the Vols, winning on court three first with court one to follow. As a result, Texas captured the doubles point to gain a 1-0 lead.

Court two's contest between Tennessee's duet of Alejandro Moreno and Shion Itsusaki against the No.19-ranked Longhorn pair of Oliver Ojakaar and Sebastian Eriksson went unfinished at 5-3 in favor of Texas.

Texas continued its success into singles, capturing all six first sets. The Longhorns added onto their lead with a 6-1, 6-2 triumph on court six. Court three was the next to finish, which ended with Olivier Ojakaar from Texas overcoming Jan Kobierski, 6-2, 6-2. Texas clinched the match with a victory on court one.

Alejandro Moreno on court two was the bright spot for the Vols in the match, coming back from down 3-1 to tie the competition at 3-3. Moreno forced No. 43 Sebastian Eriksson into a tiebreaker game before Eriksson was able to take a 1-0 lead. UT's number two jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second set before the match was abandoned due to the clinch.

The Big Orange will finish off their road trip in the Lone Star State with a contest against #10 Texas A&M on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT in College Station at the Mitchell Tennis Center.
