TENNIS VOLS FALL TO ALABAMA 5-2

Tuscaloosa, Ala. - The Tennessee men's tennis team lost to Alabama 5-2 Friday night at the UA Tennis Complex to fall to 8-5 on the season and 2-3 in the SEC.
The Tide captured the doubles point behind wins at the No. 2 and 3 positions. Adam Hubble and Ben Rogers, ranked 24th in the most recent Fila ITA Rankings, defeated Alabama's Joseph Jung and Mathieu Thibaudeau 8-3 at the No. 1 slot for UT's only doubles victory.
Sophomore Kaden Hensel tied the score at one apiece with a win over Thibaudeau 6-4, 6-2 at the No. 3 singles position. Hensel has won three of his last four singles matches.
Alabama captured the next four singles matches though to win the match. Bobby Cameron captured the first set of his match with Joseph Jung at the No. 1 position but he could not hold onto the lead as Jung won the last two sets to win the match 1-6, 6-0, 6-2.
Freshman Derek Stephens gave UT its other point with a 6-4, 5-7, 7-6 victory over Dan Buikema at the No. 5 position. Stephens, a freshman from Matthews, N.C. is now 11-2 this season in singles and 8-2 in dual matches.
Tennessee finishes its four-match road trip on Sunday when it travels to Auburn to face the Tigers at 1 p.m. Live match updates can be found at UTsports.com.
