Boca Raton, Fla. - The Tennessee men's tennis team closed out their spring break trip to South Florida Wednesday with a 6-0 victory over Florida Atlantic, playing singles matches only. The Vols improved to 8-4 on the season.
The match, played at Patch Reef Tennis Center, saw the Vols cruise in straight sets in the top five singles matches. UT won No. 6 by default.
Senior Rawl Martin won at No. 4 singles over Mauricio Paiz 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles.
Sophomores Bobby Cameron and Kaden Hensel won at No. 1 and 2 singles. Cameron defeated David Demers 7-5, 6-3 at the No. 1 position. Hensel defeated Kevin Oblet 6-0, 6-2 at the No. 2 slot.
Freshmen Adam Hubble and Derek Stephens picked up UT's other victories. Stephens won at No. 3 over J.P. Bounassar 7-5, 6-1. Hubble defeated Akin Akman 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 5 position.
Tennessee continues its four-game road trip with matches at Alabama Friday and Auburn Sunday.
