Lady Vols Earn 11th-Place Finish at NCAA Outdoor Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – Tennessee women's track & field wrapped up the 2026 collegiate outdoor season on Saturday, finishing 11th in the team standings at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon. The Lady Vols recorded five scoring performances totaling 23 points at the national meet, including bronze-medal finishes in the 400-meter dash and 4x400-meter relay.

National Champion Relay Leads Vols to Third-Place NCAA Finish

EUGENE, Ore. – Tennessee men's track & field returned to the national podium Friday with a third-place team finish at the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Championships, scoring 46 points under the direction of head coach Duane Ross and his staff. The result marked the best outdoor finish for Tennessee in the Ross era and the 12th top-three finish at the meet in program history.

Hannah Grace’s Pole Vault Record Places Sixth At NCAA Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – Tennessee freshman pole vaulter Hannah Grace made her NCAA Outdoor Championships debut in record-breaking fashion on Thursday as the Lady Vols began competition at the national meet. The Wilmington, North Carolina, native cleared a lifetime-best 4.54 meters (14-10.75) to place sixth in the country while improving her own school record in the event.

JL Van Rensburg’s Shot Put School Record Finishes Second at NCAA Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – Tennessee sophomore JL Van Rensburg earned a national runner-up finish on Wednesday as UT opened competition at the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon. The South African shot putter tied the school record with a toss of 20.33 meters (66-8.5) to finish second overall, capping his debut season on Rocky Top with First Team All-America honors.
