Bio
2019-20 - FRESHMAN
- Rowed five seat in the Novice 8+ D boat that finished sixth with a time of 20:48.1 at the Secret City Head Race
PERSONAL
- Daughter of Margi McCarthy
- During high school, she led community service activities as the Witness Representative. She also worked at Stepping Stones, a camp for kids and teenagers with developmental disabilities and was involved in Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
- Competed in the Cincy East Volleyball Club for five years
- After graduating from UT with a major in Neuroscience and minor in American Sign Language, she plans on going to medical school with a plan of becoming a pediatric doctor for kids with developmental disabilities.
- Her uncle attended UT and was on the swimming team
- Chose UT because, "We all deck out in orange on game day, no matter what the outcome will be. We also all work hard academically and athletically, as well as investing time in the community. Regardless of what each person is passionate about, there is a place for everyone on campus to be supported, loved and heard."
- The athletic accomplishment she is most proud of is, "My high school’s volleyball team was back-to-back state champions. Being able to go to all of the games and feel the adrenaline and pride for my team was unforgettable, even though I wasn’t able to play."
- Currently a member of First Year Council, Rocky Top Rowdies and Advocates for Autism
