Tennessee Men’s Tennis Set To Host Rocky Top Invite

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee men's tennis will open its 2026 fall slate by hosting an invite tournament from Sept. 18-20 at Goodfriend Tennis Center on the UT campus.
The Vols will welcome ranked teams No. 61 Indiana, No. 62 Louisville and No. 65 Memphis to participate in singles and doubles competitions at the Rocky Top Invitational. Indiana boasts one singles player and a doubles pairing that were ranked in last season's final ITA Rankings.
This will be the first time the Big Orange has hosted a fall invite since the Knoxville Showdown in September of 2022.
Tennessee Head Coach Chris Woodruff was able to strengthen his program in the offseason by reeling in a top-20 freshman signing class, according to the Tennis Recruiting Network. He also bolstered the roster with the addition of three SEC transfers.
Top returnees include the 2025-26 ITA Ohio Valley Region Most Improved Player in Jose Garcia and Shion Itsusaki. The trio of newcomers from conference schools include Alan Bojarski from Auburn, Oklahoma transfers Orel Kimhi and Oscar Lacides. The latter was a two-time All-SEC Second Team honoree.
