Men’s Tennis Central: UNF Invitational
September 25, 2025 | Men's Tennis
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Volunteers continue their fall campaign by heading down to Jacksonville, Florida, to participate in the UNF Invitational from Sept. 26-28.
The Big Orange are sending eight Vols to the invitational. That group includes Woohyuk Chang, Jose Garcia, Jan Kobierski, Woodson McMillin, Alejandro Moreno, Ethan Muza, Piotr Siekanowicz and Boruch Skierkier.
Tennessee will compete against players from Texas Tech, Mercer, North Florida and Barry in singles and doubles across the weekend. Matches will start at 8:30 a.m. on Friday.
THE PERFECT DUO
The doubles duo of Woodson McMillin and Piotr Siekanowicz looks to stay perfect after going 2-0 at the Louisville Invitational. That was the first time the duo had played together, and they hope to continue their success in Jacksonville.
HOMETOWN HEROES
UT has three members of the team for the 2025-26 season who are from Knoxville. Jose Garcia, Woodson McMillin and Alejandro Moreno are all from the Scruffy City, but each come from different high schools in the area. All three members look forward to representing the orange and white this year.
ALREADY A CHAMPION
Transfer Boruch Skierkier looks to add to his long resume from the DII school of Valdosta State University. The Argentinian was part of back-to-back national championships with former team. Skierkier's time included a 26-0 singles record in 2024-25 with an active 42-match win streak. He looks to add to those accomplishments with his first action as a Vol this weekend.
UP NEXT
The University of Tennessee will stay in state and head to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to compete in the Middle Tennessee Shootout, running from Oct. 3-5.
