Vols finish up at the Louisville Invitational
September 15, 2025 | Men's Tennis
Tennessee Men's Tennis finished up play at the Louisville Invitational Sunday after a brief weather delay. It was their first tournament of the 2025-26 season.
Four Vols, Woohyuk Chang, Woodson McMillin, Ethan Muza and Piotr Siekanowicz, all were playing for the first time in the orange and white, and they were competitive all weekend. Chang and McMillin saw their first, ever action in collegiate tennis.
The Big Orange started off hot the first day, posting three wins in doubles and staying perfect in singles with four wins. McMillin and Siekanowicz made it to the final as a doubles pair in their bracket, but the match was abandoned on the final day.
Transfer Ethan Muza shined brightly the whole tournament after posting a 2-1 record, with a 6-3, 6-2 triumph over Xavier's Max Pettingell and a 6-3, 6-4 victory against Ondrej Valek of UAB.
The tally for the tournament was five victories in singles and three wins in doubles. The new Vols tied last year's first fall tournament total in doubles wins with fewer plays competing.
