Preview: Tennessee Prepares to Host UT Diving Invite & CSCAA Power 4 Dual Meet Challenge

KNOXVILLE. Tenn. -- Tennessee Swim & Dive is back in action this week, hosting both the UT Diving Invite and the Inaugural CSCAA Power 4 Dual Meet Challenge. The UT Diving Invite is scheduled for Nov. 20-22, with the Dual Meet Challenge taking place Nov. 21-23.
Admission for all four days are free, with doors opening one hour before competition begins. The clear bag policy is in effect throughout the weekend for all fans. Parking will be available in Lot SC40 off Kingston Pike near Tyson Park.
Tennessee will host Michigan, Arizona State, and South Carolina in the diving invitational. Prelims on Thursday and Friday will begin at 10 a.m., with finals on both days starting at 2 p.m.. Saturday will conclude the competition, with combined platform prelims at 10 a.m. and a combined final at 1:45 p.m.
Live stats for the meet will be available on Dive Meets, with the finals for all three days streamed on SEC Network+.
Tennessee will represent the SEC in the Dual Meet Challenge. The first-of-its-kind event will feature four of the top swimming programs in the country in a double elimination tournament with a head to head format. Including Tennessee, the meet will also include Michigan (Big Ten), Arizona State (Big 12), and Virginia (ACC). All sessions including Tennessee will be streamed on SEC Network+, with all other sessions being streamed on the USA Swimming App. Live Stats for the event will be available on Meet Mobile.
Each event is worth one point per head to head match-up. A team is allowed to enter a maximum of three athletes, ranked in order from first, second, or third. Teams can earn a maximum of three points per individual event. Relay events are valued at two points . Teams can enter a maximum of three relays, seeded first, second, and third. Competing teams can earn a maximum of three points per individual relay event.
Tennessee's women's and men's teams enter as the No. 8 and 9 teams in the most recent CSCAA top 25. Virginia's women's team enters No. 1 overall, while the men enter the challenge at No. 12. On the men's side, Arizona State enter at No. 2, while their women's program comes into the weekend at No. 18. Michigan's women's program also ranks in the top ten heading into the challenge, ranking seventh overall.
