KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 22/22-ranked Tennessee women's tennis team opens a two-week homestand with a Valentine's Day doubleheader against UT Martin and Marquette on Friday afternoon.

The Lady Vols (5-1) open Valentine's Day against UT Martin (1-3) at 11 a.m. ET with a dual against Marquette (2-4) to follow at 3 p.m. ET inside the Goodfriend Tennis Center.Â
"We are excited to compete at home tomorrow and are looking forward to seeing our fans up in the stands," said head coach Alison Ojeda. "UT Martin is now coached by former Lady Vol, Caitlyn Williams. I know that our Knoxville community is excited to welcome her team as she begins her collegiate coaching career."

SEC Freshman of the Week:Â Freshman Carly Briggs was named the SEC Freshman of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday. The honor is the first of her career and is the second weekly honor for a Lady Vol in 2020.

The Calhoun, Georgia product has been essential to UT's 5-1 start to 2020, posting a perfect 6-0 mark in doubles and singles in dual-match play. Last week, Briggs went undefeated and clinched the match for UT with a singles victory against Purdue's Seira Shimizu, 6-1, 6-4.Â

Starting Fast:Â The Lady Vols have claimed the doubles point in all six of their dual matches in 2020, holding a combined doubles record of 14-2.
