Robin Wingardh and Erica Popson were named Tennessee's representatives to the SEC Fall Golf Honor Roll.
Wingardh played in four tournaments for the Vols this fall and was Tennessee's top finisher in two of those events. He nearly won the elite Isleworth Collegiate Invitational in late October before finishing second, and does not have a finish outside the top 20. The Vols captain, who hails from Morarp, Sweden, owns a stroke average of 71.92 for his senior season that is more than three shots better than his closest teammate. Seven of his 12 rounds resulted in scores of par or better, including a 68 in the second round at Isleworth.
Popson leads the 19th-ranked Lady Vols with a 72.56 scoring average and is first in the country in both eagles (four) and par-five scoring (4.50). The sophomore from Davenport, Fla., rated No. 47 in the Golfstat Cup individual standings, fired rounds of 67, 69 and 71 en route to setting a new Mercedes-Benz tournament and school record for lowest 54-hole total (9-under 207) at UT's 14th annual home competition in October. She nabbed the individual victory by making a birdie on the first playoff hole.
Her win led the Orange and White to a 20-shot team victory and the lowest three-round team total in Mercedes-Benz and school history (15-under 849). Popson opened the season with a tied-for-16th performance (+7 223) at the Golfweek Conference Challenge before winning the Mercedes-Benz (-9 207). She wrapped up the fall by tying for 27th (+10 223) at the Pac-10/SEC Challenge.
