TENNIS VOLS OVERPOWER MOREHEAD STATE 7-0

The Tennessee men's tennis team breezed past the Morehead State Eagles 7-0 Sunday at the Knoxville Racquet Club to improve to 5-2 on the season.
The Vols swept the doubles point in impressive fashion, surrendering only four games in three matches. Bo Hardegree, playing in his first match since joining the tennis squad, teamed up with Johnny Thornton to defeat Dusan Milovanovic and Tyler Worley 8-0 at No. 3 doubles. Adam Hubble and Ben Rogers improved to 7-0 in dual-match doubles with an 8-2 win over Jacob McLeod and Adam Storti, 8-2. Derek Stephens and Kiril Tcherveniachki completed the doubles sweep for Tennessee with an 8-2 win over Greg Anderson and Doug Song at the No. 2 position.
The Vols continued their domination in singles as UT won all six singles matches without dropping a set.
Rogers initiated the singles scoring with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Anderson at the No. 2 position. Rogers is 3-0 this season playing at the No. 2 position.
Tcherveniachki extended Tennessee's lead with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Storti at the No. 3 position. Tcherveniachki is 5-1 in dual-match singles play this spring.
Hubble clinched the match for the Vols with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Doug Song at the No. 3 slot. Sunday marked only the second time this season that Hubble played in singles but the Australian native has delivered when called upon, winning both of the matches.
Kaden Hensel, playing at the No. 1 slot in the singles lineup for the first time since the season-opener defeated McLeod 6-3, 6-1. Hensel, ranked 29th in the country is 3-2 in dual-match play.
Chris Racz improved to 4-0 in dual-match singles play with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Milovanovic at the No. 5 position.
Hardegree wrapped up his tennis debut with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Tyler Worley at the No. 6 slot.
Tennessee finishes its doubleheader at 1 p.m. when it takes on 73rd-ranked Furman at the Knoxville Racquet Club.
