Vols Extend Lead At Turtle Bay

Day 2 Results
The Tennessee men's golf team retained its first-round lead by firing a 13-under-par 275 in the second round of the Turtle Bay Intercollegiate played Tuesday at Turtle Bay Golf Resort in Kahuku, Hawaii.
Tennessee holds an 11 stroke lead over second-place UC-Irvine. The University of Texas-Arlington follows in third with three teams tied for fourth.
The Volunteers were paced by four players in the top-10. Robin Wingardh followed up his first-round 63 with a second-round 70. He is tied for second going into the final day.
Following him in fourth place is senior Charlie Ford. Ford fired a 8-under-par 64 to jump 44 spots into fourth.
Junior Chris Paisley and senior Philip Pettitt are both tied for eighth place after the second round. Paisley carded a 1-under-par 71 while Petitt shot a 2-under-par 70.
Sophomore David Holmes rounded out the Tennessee lineup in a tie for 50th place with a scorecard of 68-74--142.
Competing as an individual, Ben Spickard is tied for 79th place with a total score of 147.
The third and final round is scheduled to begin Wednesday morning at 7:20 Hawaii Time (12:20 Eastern Time).
