The No. 19-ranked Tennessee men's golf team will host a media opportunity Thursday, May 22 from 3-4 p.m. at the M.C. James Jr. Driving Range as they prepare to compete in the 2003 NCAA Championships. Karsten Creek Golf Course in Stillwater Okla. plays host to the event from May 28-31.
This season marks the first time Tennessee has qualified for the NCAA Championships since 1997. Last week, the Vols finished fourth at the East Regional with a 281-291-291--863. The fourth-place finish marks the highest finish in regional competition in the history of the program.
Head coach Jim Kelson will be available for interviews, as well as the five golfers who will compete in the tournament. Those players include senior co-captains Ian Parnaby (second team All-SEC) and Andrew Pratt and sophomores Ross McGowan, John-Scott Rattan and David Skinns (first team All-SEC).
