Won Helen B. Watson Female Scholar Athlete of the Year Award at the 2012 Volscars... Took eighth in both the Collegiate 4 and C8 at the Chattanooga Head Race... 2010-11 - FRESHMAN:
Against Minnesota, raced in the bow of the N8+... Won first place in bow seat of the N8+ against Louisville... Raced in bow seat of the N8+ at the SIRA regatta in Oak Ridge, Tenn., finished fourth overall... At the Conference USA regional regatta, was in bow seat of the Novice 8+, finishing in sixth place... Raced in bow seat of the 2N8+ at the Secret City Head Race, taking home third... Raced in the 2N8+ at the Head of the Hooch regatta... HIGH SCHOOL:
Homeschooled in high school through Maryville Christian School... PERSONAL:
Majoring in nursing, after graduating, she wants to work as a nurse in medical missions, and be a mother... Achieved the SEC honor roll her freshman year... Evelyn won the UTK Athletics Board Recognition of Academic Achievement for Achieving a Superior Cumulative GPA among student-athletes her freshman year... What she loves about Lady Vol Rowing is her teammates and her coaches... She loves Tennessee because of her family, friends, the Smoky Mountains and the river... Her proudest accomplishment is being a National Merit Semi-Finalist... Evelyn is the oldest of fourteen siblings... She rows on both port and starboard sides...
