Bio
Taylor was one of the most fearsome pass rushers in the SEC during his final two seasons ... The Hopewell, Va., native finished with 19.5 sacks (10th-most in UT history), 26.5 TFLs and 118 total tackles over his 43-game career ... He finished tied for second in the SEC with 8.5 sacks in 2019 after totaling 8.0 sacks in 2018 ... Became the third Vol ever to have a four-sack game when he accomplished the feat against Kentucky in 2018 ... Also had a three-sack, two-forced-fumble game at Georgia and was named Team MVP in 2018.

Proved to be one of college football's most disruptive pass rushers, finishing second in the SEC with 8.5 sacks in 2019 ... Started all 13 games and was named a permanent team captain at the end of the season ... Totaled 46 tackles, 10 TFLs, four PBUs, six hurries, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble ... Proved to be one of the SEC's most dangerous pass rushers in 2018, leading Tennessee with eight sacks and 11.0 TFLs, while starting nine games at outside linebacker and appearing in all 12 contests … Had three games with three or more TFLs and two games with three or more sacks - tied for most in the nation … Named Tennessee’s Team MVP in a vote by teammates and a permanent captain for banquet … His 8.0 sacks in league play ranked second behind Kentucky’s Josh Allen (10.0) … Also forced three fumbles – fourth in the SEC in all games – and tied for first in the SEC with two fumble recoveries … Added 36 tackles and three hurries in 2018 … Became just the third player in Tennessee history with four sacks in a game after logging four against the No. 11-ranked Wildcats on Nov. 10 … He also recorded a season-high seven tackles in the outing versus Kentucky ... Started seven games at defensive end and made 10 appearances overall, ranking second on the Vols with 3.0 sacks … Tallied 27 tackles, 4.0 TFLs, five hurries and two forced fumbles … Made two sacks for a loss of 14 yards vs. Southern Miss while also forcing a fumble ... Forced the first fumble of his career during No. 7 Georgia’s opening drive of the third quarter, forcing the Bulldogs to punt … Recorded first-career sack when he tackled Florida’s Feleipe Franks for a 15-yard loss on a 2nd-and-8 ... Also recovered the first fumble of his career in the third quarter in The Swamp … Made first career start and made a career-high 12 tackles in season-opening win over Georgia Tech in Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, including the game-winning tackle of Yellow Jackets’ quarterback TaQuon Marshall in double overtime.
