Attended Blackman High School in Murfreesboro, Tenn., where he was coached by Chris Parker...Earned three varsity letters with the Blaze...Helped lead the team to the District 7-AAA championship and Region 4 title in 2009...Was named the team[apos]s defensive MVP after yielding just two passed balls all season while handling a staff that features six current collegiate pitchers...Attended Middle Tennessee State during the 2009-10 school year but did not play baseball.
