Rowing Central: #5 Tennessee Hosts Second Annual Rocky Top Invite

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. -- The fifth-ranked Tennessee rowing team is back in the water in Oak Ridge, as it hosts the second annual Rocky Top Invite April 3-4 at Melton Hill Lake.

Twelve heats will take place on Friday, beginning at 3:00 p.m. Semifinals will begin on Saturday morning starting at 8:00 a.m., followed by finals beginning at 11:54 a.m. Saturday morning's semifinals will be seeded based on results from Friday's heats. There will be two finals heats in each race. The top final will feature the top two from each semifinal and the next fastest boat, while the consolation final will have the remaining crews. After competition on Saturday, Tennessee will honor its 2026 senior class with a ceremony on the shoreline.

Eight teams will join the Lady Vols for this week's races. Teams competing in the regatta include No. 14 Pennsylvania, No. 15 Duke, No. 17 Alabama, No. 24 USC, No. 25 UCLA, Clemson, Iowa, and Minnesota.

The regatta is free for all fans, with the shoreline along the lake offering multiple viewing areas to watch the races. Parking and quick access to the shoreline can be found at the Oak Ridge Rowing Association (697 Melton Lake, Dr., Oak Ridge, TN 37830).
