KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - In the opening tournament of the 2025-2026 season, the No. 13/14 Volunteers captured the third annual Visit Knoxville Collegiate.
Playing as an individual in his Tennessee debut, Auburn transfer Reed Lotter tied for first in the tournament with a 7-under final score. The Georgia native fired a 4-under final day to propel himself to the top spot.
This victory marks the 12th win in Webb's tenure at Tennessee, moving him to third all-time in program history in head coaching tournament wins. This also marks the second victory at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate, with the previous one coming in the inaugural tournament in 2023.
With five Volunteers inside the top-10 and four of them in the lineup, Tennessee earned a tournament total 19-under for first place, seven strokes above second place Ole Miss.
The 2024 All-America selection Lance Simpson carded the best counting round for the Big Orange with a tournament total of 5-under and earned a top-5 finish in fourth place. His final round 68 included a clutch chip in for eagle on his fourth hole of the day.
Starting his sophomore season with a top-five finish, Jackson Herrington had a final round 69 for a 1-under score. The U.S. Amateur runner-up rebounded from back-to-back bogeys to start his round with a bogey-free 16 holes, including three birdies.
Bruce Murphy used a combined two-day score of 7-under to card a tie for tenth place; the redshirt junior notched a final round score of 5-over for the Volunteers.
Junior golfer Josh Hill also finished tied for tenth with a final round score of 5-over, his sixth top-10 finish of his career.
Playing in the first tournament of his collegiate career, Chase Kyes finished his tournament with a 2-over combined score. Thanks to two late birdies in his final round, the Birmingham, Alabama native was able to card a 72 and finished tied 27th.
Playing as individuals, sophomore Christian Pardue logged an 8-over final round to finish in a tie for 36th. Luke Smith also made his debut for the Vols with a 12-over final round to finish in a tie for 78th.
