Duncan Unveils 2025 Tennessee Cross Country Schedule

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee cross country head coach Justin Duncan has announced the program's competition schedule for the 2025 season.
The fall slate features two home meets at the Cherokee Farms Cross Country Course along the banks of the Tennessee River. UT opens the campaign Friday, Aug. 29, with the Tennessee Cross Country Invitational and will play host to the 2025 SEC Cross Country Championships – set for Friday, Oct. 31.

After the first home meet, Tennessee will get its first of two previews of the NCAA Championship course when it travels to Columbia, Missouri, for the Gans Creek Classic on Friday, Sept. 26. UT will return to the Gans Creek Cross Country Course on Saturday, Oct. 18, for the Pre-National Invitational.
Postseason action begins at home for the Big Orange as Knoxville will serve as the host site for the 2025 SEC Cross Country Championships on Friday, Oct. 31. The Vols and Lady Vols will then trek to Huntsville, Alabama, for the NCAA South Region Championships on Friday, Nov. 14.
Team and individual national qualifiers for the NCAA Cross Country Championships will converge in Columbia, Missouri, on Saturday, Nov. 22, to wrap up the 2025 cross country season.
Duncan enters his second year at the helm of Tennessee cross country along with assistant distance coaches Brian Biekert and Amy Rudolph. The staff had a productive first year on Rocky Top, guiding the Lady Vols to a second-place team finish at the conference meet and 26th-place outing at nationals. On the men's side, returner Christopher Middleton-Pearson stood out after earning All-Region honors and punching his individual ticket to the NCAA Championships in 2024.
