KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee director of swimming & diving Matt Kredich recently announced the addition of eight new members to the 2025-26 roster, including three transfers and two incoming freshmen for swimming and three rookie incomers for diving.
From the portal, Kamal Muhammad (Virginia) will join the Vols, while Lilly Daley (Florida) and Simoné Moll (Miami) will suit up for the Lady Vols next season. The men's team also added Ulises Saravia, a 2024 Paris Olympian from Argentina, and Ethan Dumesnil, a champion at the 2023 Pacific Games from France. Below is a breakdown of UT's newest swimmers:
Lilly Daley – Junior – Free – Toronto, Ontario, Canada
A specialist in the sprint freestyles, Daley swam at Florida during her first two collegiate campaigns. At the 2024 UGA Invitational, she threw down personal-best efforts in the 50 free (23.21), 100 free (49.36) and 200 free (1:47.86). Prior to arriving in Gainesville, Daley was a member of the Canadian National Junior Team. Originally from Bermuda, she owns the long course national records for the 200-meter freestyle and 800-meter freestyle and the short course records for the 100 free, 200 free, 400 free and 200 IM.
Simoné Moll – Sophomore – Breast – Heidelberg, South Africa
In her first year at Miami, Moll punched her ticket to the NCAA Championships for both breaststroke events. Her top time of 59.51 in the 100 breast came at the SMU Invite in November and would be good for eighth on the UT leaderboard. She went on to finish eighth in the event at ACCs and 39th at NCAAs. In April, she competed at the South Africa National Championships, winning the 50 breast while taking silver in the 100 breast and bronze in the 200 breast.
Kamal Muhammad – Junior – Fly/Free – Atlanta, Ga.
After swimming at Virginia for two seasons, Muhammad arrives on Rocky Top coming off recent success at the U.S. National Championships and TYR Pro meets. He placed fifth overall in the 50-meter fly and was sixth in the 100 fly at nationals last weekend, clocking personal-best marks in both events. In February, he swam career-best times in the 50 free (19.89) and 100 fly (46.00), which would put him just on the outside of Tennessee's top-10 leaderboard.
Ulises Saravia – Back/Free – Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina
The Vols landed a major addition down the stretch in the 2025 class with Saravia, who competed at the Olympics last year and holds five of the six backstroke national records for Argentina. He was a bronze medalist in the 50-meter backstroke at the 2023 World Junior Championships, and he took silver in the 100 back at the Pan American Games the same year. At the 2025 Spanish Long Course Championships, he shattered his own 100 back record with a time of 53.26, shaving 0.69 seconds off his previous best.
Top Times (Converted from LCM): 100 Back (46.90), 200 Back (1:42.18), 50 Free (20.18)
Ethan Dumesnil – Fly/Free – New Caledonia, France
Tennessee added a major prospect for the 2025 class in Dumesnil, a qualifier for France for the 2025 World Championships and four-time finalist and champion at French Juniors in 2024. Dumesnil earned a bronze medal with a 52.54 at the 2024 European Junior Championships for the 100-meter fly, dropping seven-tenths of a second off his previous best. He is coming off one of his best years-to-date after being a 10-time finalist and a two-time champion in the five events he contested in 2024.
Top Times (Converted from LCM): 50 Free (20.25), 100 Free (43.06), 50 Fly (20.71), 100 Fly (45.92)
The three new entrants for diving are Frazer Tavener and Thomas Ciprick, who will compete for the Vols, and Desharne Bent-Ashmeil, who will compete for the Lady Vols. The three international additions will look to make an instant impact for the Big Orange in 2025-26. Below is a breakdown of the three newcomers for diving:
Frazer Tavener – Springboard – Point Chevalier, New Zealand
Tennessee adds a three-time gold medalist and two-time bronze medalist in Diving Grand Prix competitions, with two gold medals coming at the Malaysia Open Diving Championships in 2024. Frazer specializes in 3-meter springboard and synchronized, where he has tabbed 13 top-10 finishes on the international circuit.
Thomas Ciprick – Springboard – Calgary, Canada
Since 2019, Ciprick has been representing Canada Diving. His highlight of his career was when he logged a fourth-place finish in the 3-meter springboard at FINA Grand Prix in Rostock, Germany, when he was only 16. The year before, he won two silver medals in the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard events at the 2019 Junior Pan American Championships.
Desharne Bent-Ashmeil – Springboard – London, United Kingdom
The Brit is coming off an outstanding year after claiming four gold medals in 2024, with two coming from the European Championships. Desharne is a consistent diver, posting 17 top-10 finishes internationally since 2022. She also took silver at the World Junior Diving Championships in 2022 in the 3-meter synchronized and looks to continue her success with the Lady Vols.
