"We competed really well today. I think the coaches and the athletes all feel like we were very well prepared mentally for a tough team on the road and we put together some great performances. This was the first meet for the swimmers in a while, and while we had a few errors in execution, those errors came from being really aggressive and I love that. Emily Brown was outstanding today and continued her really impressive development. Emily Armen also continued to establish herself as a force in the conference in freestyle events, while we had some really exciting races from Camille Spink and Ella Jansen as well. It was also great to have Mizuki Hirai racing for us. She is electric and gives us a lot of options with our lineup."
"For the men, I can't say enough about Mac Clark and the way he raced today just two weeks after losing his father. His father was his biggest fan and would have been immensely proud of the way his son competed today. Freshmen Gabe Nunziata and Ulises Saravia each out together a great meet, and Anthony Laurito and Ben Bricca also continued to show really impressive development. Our veterans led really well today as well. Hats off to our divers who were terrific on the boards and kept our men in the meet."
Head Diving Coach Jane Figueiredo
"I was extremely pleased with the diving today and our consistency. We are still working towards the SEC and NCAA zone event, so we still have work to do. To go to Georgia and take all the dicing events was just great and this gives the divers the confidence to continue raising our bar. Complacency is not an option, so we move on to the next event. Proud of the divers and always thankful to our coaches and staff."
