Ogwoka Earns All-America Status, Leads #21 Lady Vols at NCAA Championships

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Tennessee cross country capped its 2025 campaign on the national stage Saturday, highlighted by a historic performance from Lady Vol freshman Mary Nyaboke Ogwoka at the NCAA Championships. Ogwoka placed 24th overall in the women's 6k with a time of 19:11.8 to earn USTFCCCA All-America honors, becoming the 12th cross country All-American in Lady Vol history and first for the program since 2015.
As a team, the Lady Vols finished 30th out of 32 squads with 650 points, with senior Andie-Marie Jones (162nd), junior Summer Schuster (185th), graduate student Nia Clatworthy (196th) and junior Jaci Sievers (228th) rounding out the scoring five.
Redshirt freshman Tula Fawbush and graduate student Amelia Wills also competed for Tennessee, placing 230th and 233rd, respectively, to close out a strong season for the women in Big Orange.
On the men's side, sophomore Zouhair Redouane represented UT as an individual qualifier and delivered a solid performance, placing 78th out of 261 runners in the 10k with a time of 29:29.9 to cap his first season with the Volunteers.
Saturday marked the end of the 2025 collegiate cross country season. Tennessee will now turn its attention to indoor track & field, with the 2025-26 campaign set to begin Dec. 6 at the Winter Commodore Challenge in Nashville.
