November 17, 2025 | Volleyball
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Redshirt junior setter Caroline Kerr was named the SEC Co-Setter of the Week, the conference announced in a release on Monday. It marks the third setter of the week honor for Kerr this season, and the sixth of her career.
Kerr collected 80 assists across a pair of wins over the weekend for Tennessee. Kerr began the week with 39 assists in a win against Arkansas, adding five digs and three blocks. Kerr followed that up with 41 assists against Oklahoma, the 36th career 40-plus assist performance for the Champaign, Illinois native. Kerr now has 16 matches this season with 30 or more assists, ranking fifth in the conference at 9.84 assists per set. Kerr has been a huge part of the Tennessee attack, with her 817 assists helping set up a Lady Vol offense that ranks top 10 nationally in both hitting percentage and kills per set.
One of the top setters in Tennessee history, Kerr ranks sixth in the program record books in both assists (3,131) and assists per set (10.69). In 2024, Kerr became the first Tennessee setter to earn All-American recognition in multiple seasons. Before this season, Kerr was named to the AVCA National Player of the Year Watch List. It was the second consecutive year that Kerr was named to the watch list. Kerr also garnered Preseason All-SEC recognition. Kerr represented the United States at the 2025 U23 Pan-American Volleyball Cup this summer. Kerr captained the U23 national team in the tournament, helping lead the United States to a gold medal in the event.
Kerr and the #19 Lady Vols return to action on Sunday, as they begin play in the SEC Tournament. Tennessee earned the fourth seed and a double bye in the tournament. Tennessee will await the winner of the match between Florida and the winner of the Alabama/South Carolina match.
