ATHENS, Ga. - The Tennessee soccer team is set for a road contest at Georgia for a 6:30 p.m. ET Friday match at Turner Soccer Complex.
Tennessee (7-3-3, 2-2-2) is looking to bounce back from consecutive losses to No. 6 Arkansas and No. 9/14 Auburn.
In their last match against the Tigers, Jenna Stayart and Reese Mattern found the back of the net for the Big Orange.
Stayart's goal, assisted by Sammi Woods, was a strong left-footed strike from the top of the box.
Mattern gave Tennessee its second goal via a header off a corner kick from Sarah Bridenstine.
TRACKING THOMAS: Thomas, who enters her final season on Rocky Top, currently ranks second on Tennessee's all-time goals list with 39 and sits just four back of Kylee Rossi's program-best 43. The three-time All-SEC player and 2021 All-American appeared in just two matches last season before suffering a season-ending injury. During the 2022 season, Thomas scored 13 goals and posted the best goals-per-game average in the SEC at .68.
