KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Tennessee soccer suffered a 2-3 loss to No. 9/14 Auburn in a physical, hard-fought Sunday afternoon contest at Regal Stadium.

A crowd of 3,499 came out to watch UT's senior day match versus the Tigers.

Junior Jenna Stayart and freshman Reese Mattern both found the back of the net for Tennessee (7-3-3, 2-2-2). Goalkeeper Ally Zazzara notched three saves on the night as well, which puts her at 10th all-time in program history with 110 career saves.

Olivia Woodson turned in a brace for Auburn (12-1-2, 4-1-2). Sydnie Thibodaux secured the game-winner for the Tigers.

Auburn struck first in what was a back-and-forth contest through 54 minutes. Woodson opened up scoring in the 25th minute after Carly Thatcher dished it to her in the front of goal for a tap in.

The Lady Vols responded in the 34th minute after Sammi Woods found Stayart at the top of the box who launched in a left-footed beauty in the top right corner of the net for her first goal of the season.

That marks Woods' tenth point on the season, which leads the team.

The match was tied 1-1 entering halftime, but Woodson took it by herself to score her second of the day in the 47th minute to put the Tigers up 2-1.

Just five minutes later, Mattern capitalized on a corner kick from Sarah Bridenstine and headed it in to equalize the match.

Zazzara came up clutch in the 73rd minute after Thibodaux launched one on frame, but the Auburn midfielder/forward was able to secure the game-winner in the 77th minute after Anna Hadcock found her outside the box.

UP NEXT: Tennessee will head on the road to Athens, Georgia, for a 7 pm ET Friday contest with the Bulldogs.
