Creath, Riley Win Doubles Bracket, Three Vols to Compete in Finals

FURMAN, S.C. – Callie Creath and Ariadna Riley highlighted the Furman Invitational on Saturday, winning their doubles bracket.
The pair went 3-0 on the weekend, winning their final match 8-4. The duo of Rebeka Mertena and Johanna Silva also won their first doubles match together of the season, 8-7. Creath also won a singles match in two sets (7-6 (6), 6-3)
Individually, three Lady Vols advanced to the final in their brackets. Kaitlin Staines won her match in three sets (6-2, 3-6, 7-6), Tenika McGiffin won in two sets (6-4, 7-5) and Johanna Silva came back after falling in the first set to win in two sets (5-7, 7-5, 6-4).
Lyric Bonilla won in two sets (6-2, 6-4) for her first singles win of the fall.
The Lady Vols will wrap up competition in Furman on Sunday.
