Pros Update: Lamb Earns PGA Tour Card

Portland, Ore. -- Former Tennessee golfer Rick Lamb earned his PGA Tour card on the Web.com Tour's WinCo Foods Portland Open on Sunday.
Lamb highlighted the weekend at the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club shooting a 10-under 274 in the event to finish 19th overall. He posted a low 67 in the tournament's first round.
Lamb's finish moved him up to 24th on the money list earning him $9,360 to capture his PGA Tour card.
This season has been a red-letter year for the former Vol on the Web.com Tour. He bested the field to win the LECOM Health Challenge in Findley Lake, New York, shooting 19-under through 72-holes. The victory awarded Lamb with $108,000 to enter the money list at 21st to set out on the path of earning his tour card.
Lamb followed the LECOM Health Challenge with a tie for 45th a the Utah Championship in Lehi, Utah, earning him $2,004.16. With a T-34 finish at the Digital Ally Open, Lamb earned an additional $3,103.75. The VFL returned to Knoxville on August 21 to play at the News Sentinel Open where he finished tied for third after posting 23-under 261, which secured him $31,900 as he continued his stride towards earning a tour card.
At Tennessee, Lamb ended his career ranked third all-time on UT's career scoring average list (73.03). Lamb played in every tournament for the Vols during his senior year and won three individual championships during his collegiate golf career.
Lamb earned PING All-American honorable mention, Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-American Scholar and SEC Academic Honor Roll all during his senior year on Rocky Top.
