Pros Update: Lamb T3 on Web.com Tour

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee men's golf program saw former Vol Rick Lamb return to Knoxville as he tied for third in the Web.com Tour's News Sentinel Open on Sunday.
Over the weekend, Lamb shot 4-under 71 in the first round followed by a low 64 on the second day, putting him two shots back of the lead. Lamb shot a low 8-under 71 in the third round, his best day of the event. On the tournaments final day Lamb pulled within one after draining a birdie on hole 17. Winner J.J Spaun rolled in a 12-foot birdie leaving Sam Ryder in second as Ryan Brehm and Lamb tied for third in the event.
With a combined nine events on the year, Lamb is now at ranked 27th on the money list. Lamb has earned $145,008 including his earnings after winning the Web.com Tour's LECOM Health Challenge on July 10. The top 25 on the money list at the conclusion of the regular season will earn PGA Tour cards.
