Vols in Third Following Second Round

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. -- Senior Jack Smith's even-par second round ties him for second place after Tennessee completed its second round of the East Bay Classic at the Turtle Point Golf Course (par 72, 6,911 yards).

Tennessee finished with a 296 after Tuesday's round and is tied for second place heading into the third round. Augusta took a nine stroke lead after shooting four-under in the round and College of Charleston is in second place (+4).
Smith and Juan Carlos Serrano Guevara each shot 72 in the round to remain tied for second (-4) and 12th place (E), respectively. The pair carded nine of Tennessee's 18 birdies.
Freshman Hunter Wolcott posted 73 (+1) and is tied for 22nd place. Fellow freshman Brayden Garrison rounded out scoring for the Vols as he shot 79. He's currently tied for 53rd place.
Lorenzo Scalise recorded 85 on the day. He enters the final round tied for 97th place.
Competing as an individual for Tennessee, Rhys Nevin-Wharton shot 75 and moved up 17 spots into a tied for 90th place.
Tuesday's third round starts at 8:45 a.m. ET in a shotgun start.
