VFL Q-School Qualifying Update

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Friday saw four VFLs competing to earn their tour cards. Oliver Goss qualified for the final stage of qualifying. Check out scores from Web.com Tour Q-School Qualifying here.

Four former Vols, Oliver Goss, Rick Lamb, Philip Pettitt and Jay Vandeventer competed in the second stage of the PGA's Web.com Tour Q-School Qualifying.

Lamb and Vandeventer both competed at Southern Hills Plantation Club in Brooksville, Florida. Lamb posted a final round 73 to place him in a tie for 62nd place at 6-over par. Vandeventer was sitting 10-under following round three, but fell upon hard times and posted a final round 79 to place him in a tie for 30th place at 3-under par. Neither Lamb nor Vandeventer qualified for the final stage of Q-school qualifying.

Goss and Pettitt competed at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas. Goss shot a final round 69 to finish tied for 15th at 3-under par. The 2014 Masters Low Amateur qualified for the final stage of Q-School Qualifying. After firing consecutive rounds of 71 to place him in a tie for 10th place after round two, Pettitt posted consecutive rounds of 73 in the final two rounds. He finished in a tie for 25th at even par and failed to move to the final stage of qualifying.
