VFL Q-School Qualifying Update

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The past week saw five VFLs competing to earn their tour cards. Check out scores from European Tour Q-School Qualifying and Web.com Tour Q-School Qualifying here.
Two former Vols, Chris Paisley and Garrick Porteous, both advanced to the third stage of the European Tour Q-School Qualifying.
Paisley competed at Las Colinas Golf and Country Club in Alicante, Spain. The England native advanced to the third stage after finishing on top of the leaderboard. Paisley was victorious after carding rounds of 66-66-69-66--267 to finish 17-under par.
Porteous competed at Lumine Golf and Beach Club in Tarragona, Spain. He advanced after finishing tied for 14th. The 2014 Masters participant posted rounds of 67-77-64-67--275 to finish 9-under par.
Three former Vols, Rick Lamb, Philip Pettitt and Jay Vandeventer are competing in the second stage of the PGA's Web.com Tour Q-School Qualifying.
Lamb and Vandeventer are both competing at Southern Hills Plantation Club in Brooksville, Florida. Lamb posted 73 and 76 in the first and second rounds to place him in a tie for 69th place at 5-over par. Vandeventer carded consecutive rounds of 69 to place him in a tie for 18th place at 6-under par. There are 19 qualifying positions and those tied for the last qualifying position will advance to the final qualifying stage.
Pettitt is competing at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas. The Murfreesboro product fired consecutive rounds of 71 to place him in a tie for 10th place at 2-under par. There are 18 qualifying positions and those tied for the last qualifying position will advance to the final qualifying stage.
