The General Hackler Championship is hosted by Coastal Carolina and is Mar. 11-12 at TPC of Myrtle Beach. The 11-team field features six teams ranked among the nation's top 100, including four within the nation's top 50.
The final round gets underway Tuesday with groups starting from the first and 10th holes. The Vols will be teeing off on the first hole at 8:30 a.m. ET. Tennessee will be playing with tournament leaders Arkansas and Kent State.
The Vols have participated in the General Hackler Invitational previously in 2011 and 2012, finishing 4th and 12th respectively.
The Invitational is named after Major General James F. Hackler. General Hackler was a distinguished military leader, and following retirement became a leading citizen and entrepreneur in the Myrtle Beach area. He was a dedicated supporter of Coastal Carolina University for over 30 years, and was recognized for his contributions and devotion to the University in 2009 by being awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Public Service.
