August 29, 2007 | Men's Golf
The Tennessee men???s golf team earned a preseason national ranking of No. 14 from Golf World/Nike Golf Coaches??? Poll. Golf World released their poll Wednesday along with its list of the Top 50 male and female ???Players to Watch???.
The Volunteers return three of five starters including seniors Philip Pettitt and Charlie Ford. After a summer that saw Pettitt qualify for the U.S. Open and Ford win the silver medal at the World University Games, UT will look for these veterans to lead this year???s team. The play of sophomore David Holmes and redshirt freshman Cameron Lawrence is also critical to the Vols success.
