Doubles Team Reach Semifinals at GT Invite

Tennessee freshmen William Lang and Jeremy Tweedt advanced to the semifinals of the Division ???B??? doubles draw Saturday at the Georgia Tech Fall Invitational in Atlanta, Ga.
Lang and Tweedt received a bye into the quarterfinals of the 16-team tournament. In the quarters, Lang and Tweedt defeated W. Lyons and Scott Myers 8-4. The match marked the UT freshman???s first collegiate match together. Lang and Tweedt face Chris Nowak and Kyle Wishing of Middle Tennessee in the semifinals.
Tweedt got off to a good start in his quarterfinal singles match against nationally-ranked Jaime Hunt of Georgia. But the UT freshman could not maintain his momentum, ultimately falling to the 64th-ranked Bulldog 3-6, 6-4, 6-0.
Lang, playing in ???B??? draw consolation match, fell to Nick Maurillo of Auburn 6-1, 6-4.
