Duo Falls At Crimson Tide Championships

Tennessee men's tennis players Matt Brewer and Chris Racz fell in the quarterfinals of the doubles bracket Friday at the Crimson Tide Championships in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
The UT duo defeated Jose Mugurza and Eliot Potvin of Georgia Tech 9-7 in the first round of doubles compeitition. In the quarterfinals, Brewer and Racz fell to the nation's fifth-ranked tandem of Ban Buikema and Matt Thibaudeau of Alabama 8-4.
Brewer and Racz both dropped their first round matches in singles play. Brewer was defeated by Scott Robertson of Jacksonville State 6-3, 6-4 and Racz fell to Christian Welte of North Carolina State 6-1, 6-3.
