VOL NETTERS OPEN SEASON AT MIDDLE TENNESSEE FALL INVITATIONAL

Tennessee men's tennis players Rawl Martin and Kiril Tcherveniachki began their 2005 season Friday when they participated in the Middle Tennessee Fall Invitational at the Buck Bouldin Tennis Center.
Tcherveniachki dropped his first match in the Flight A1 singles draw to Kentucky's Nate Emge 6-1, 7-5. Tcherveniachki resumes play Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. in the consolation bracket against Ole Miss's Jakob Klaeson.
Martin fell to Freed-Hardeman's Francisco Redondo 6-1, 7-5, in his Flight A3 singles match. Martin plays Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. against Austin Peay's Ankur Singla in the consolation tournament.
