Tennessee golfer Tino Weiss recently won the Men's International Championship of France at Chantilly Vineuil golf course (par 71, 6,864 yards) just outside of Paris. The event took place June 16-18, and Weiss -- a junior-to-be from Bach, Switzerland -- fired a 68-73-71-72--284 to claim the title by four strokes.
"This event is one of the top men's amateur tournaments in Europe," UT head men's golf coach Jim Kelson said. "We're all very excited for Tino. He's been a very talented player for a long time, and it looks like his game is really starting to come together. This was a big win which should help his confidence."
