TENNIS VOLS DEPART FOR GEORGIA TECH INVITATIONAL

Five members of the Tennessee men's tennis team traveled to Atlanta, Ga., Thursday to participate in the Georgia Tech Fall Invitational which runs Friday through Sunday at the Bill Moore Tennis Center.
"The team is eager and hungry to get back on the court after an off-weekend," head coach Chris Mahony said. "We're looking forward to heading down to Altanta and playing some good tennis "
Junior Kiril Tcherveniachki and sophomores Bobby Cameron and Kaden Hensel are all participating in the Flight A singles draw. Tcherveniachki and Hensel both got their first wins of the season two weeks ago at the Southern Intercollegiate Championship.
Senior David Baxendine and junior Ben Rogers are both entered in the Flight B singles draw. Baxendine won three matches at the Southern Intercollegiate to advance to the quarterfinals. This weekend marks the first time Rogers has seen action since last season.
The Tennessee coaches also plan to enter two teams into the doubles competition. Cameron and Hensel make up one tandem. The duo spent its freshman season together and complied a 13-6 mark overall including a 7-4 mark in SEC competition. Baxendine and Tcherveniachki are the other doubles team and have a career record together of 4-4.
The tournament features 64 players from 14 schools. Results will be updated at the end of each day on Georgia Tech's official athletic website:www.ramblingwreck.com.
