San Diego Padre outfielder Bubba Trammell walked away a winner Tennessee's annual home run contest prior to the Alumni game at Lindsey Nelson Stadium where the Orange team defeated the White team 5-1 for the second straight year.
Trammell's four home runs edged Chris Burke, Jeff Christensen and St. Louis catcher Mike DiFelice who failed to leave the park in the one round competition.
In addition to current major leaguers Trammell, DiFelice, Mike Lincoln and Augie Ojeda, a host of former big leaguers appeared, including Mike Smithson, Greg McMichael, Ed Bailey and Rich DeLucia.
Over 40 former players returned for the Alumni game that saw the Orange team, led by Matt Sternberg's two RBI, score in every frame while pounding out 10 hits over the four-inning affair.
Ronnie Hartsfield doubled home Hal Bibee Jr. in the first, while Burke doubled in the second and scored on a Sternberg single for a 2-0 lead.
Current Volunteer assistant coach Clay Greene scored the White team's lone run in the bottom of the second as he led off with a double, moved to third on Jeff Pickler's base hit before scoring on a fielders choice. Rob Edgerton had the only other White hit in the fourth.
Mike McConkey scored the go-ahead run in the third on Curt Cornwell's hit, while Christensen and Adam Smith each scored in the fourth for the 5-1 advantage. Christensen singled with one out scored on Smith's double off the right field wall. Smith later plated the final run on Sternberg's second RBI of the night. Kendall Stiles also delivered a hit.
