Doyle & Kilen Named to 2026 All-Star Futures Game Roster

A pair of former Vols were named to the 2026 All-Star Futures Game rosters, which were announced by Major League Baseball on Wednesday.
Both Liam Doyle (St. Louis Cardinals) and Gavin Kilen (San Francisco Giants) were selected to represent the National League in tis year's Futures Game, which seventh since the event changed from a U.S-World format to its current AL-NL matchup in 2019.
Doyle and Kilen were both one-year standouts for Tennessee in 2025, earning first team All-SEC and first team All-America honors while helping lead the Big Orange to their fifth consecutive NCAA Super Regional appearance.
Doyle, who was the No. 5 pick in last year's MLB Draft, is ranked as the Cardinals No. 2 prospect and the No. 22 overall player according to the MLB Pipeline's Top 100 Prospects list. The hard-throwing left-hander is currently playing for St. Louis' Double-A affiliate the Springfield Cardinals, where he has started 13 games and has racked up 71 strikeouts in 51.0 innings pitched so far this season.
Kilen was also a first-round selection, No. 13 overall by the Giants, in the 2025 draft, and is considered the No. 4 rated prospect in San Francisco's minor league system. The talented shortstop is batting .288 with 46 runs, eight home runs and 60 RBIs in 70 games this season for the Eugene Emeralds at the High-A level.
The 2026 All-Star Futures Game will be played at noon ET on Sunday, July 12, at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia as part of MLB All-Star Week. The game will air exclusively on NBC.
