- Graduate Assistant Coach
Graduate assistant coach Karly Laney joined the Tennessee staff in August 2015. She serves as an assistant coach for the varsity team and works with on-campus recruiting and marketing.
Laney graduated from Oregon State in 2014 after competing for four years with the Beavers' varsity rowing team. Laney served as the Beavers' Undergraduate Assistant Coach for one year where she coached the novice eight through the spring season and marketed the team. Laney also worked in the boathouse and as a coach of the Corvallis Rowing Club.
Most recently, Laney worked for the King's School Canterbury as the Assistant Juniors Rowing Coach in England. She created training plans and organized the King's Invitational Match Regatta while coaching at the oldest school in the world.
A native of Corvallis, Ore., Laney is pursuing a master's degree in Kinesiology with the option of sport psychology or motor behavior with graduation anticipated in spring 2017.
