The first Lady Vol ever to achieve the feat, Kira Toussaint will represent the Netherlands for a third consecutive Olympics this summer. A decorated member of the Dutch national team, she boasts a staggering 51 medals on the international stage, including 33 golds. While at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she placed in the top seven of all three of her events. During the 2024 Doha World Championships, she won gold on the 4x100 free relay. Toussaint earned eight All-America accolades and won three SEC gold medals during her two seasons in Knoxville. At Rio, she became the first women's swimmer in program history to compete in the Olympics while currently on the Tennessee team, finishing 18th in the 100 back.

SUMMER 2021 - TOKYO OLYMPICS
- Made her second Olympic appearance with the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, competing in three events as a member of the Netherlands team.
- Participated and earned a spot in the finals of all three events that she competed in.
- Helped the Netherlands to a fourth-place finish in the 4x100 freestyle relay with a 3:33.70 time.
- Swam the backstroke leg of the mixed 4x100 medley relay to help the Netherlands to a sixth-place finish.
- Finished seventh in the 100-meter backstroke with a 59.11 time.
2016-17 - SENIOR
DUAL MEET RECAP
- Named CollegeSwimming.com's swimmer of the week on Nov. 1 after swimming the then-fastest 100-yard backstroke time of the year (51.79) against Louisville at home.
- Competed in five college meets during the fall. Top times included: 23.20 in the 50 free (GAC Invite), 49.44 in the 100 free (Kentucky/Indiana), 51.79 in the 100 back (Louisville), 1:55.66 in the 200 back (FINA World Champs - converted).
- Ended semester at the FINA Short Course World Championships in Windsor, Canada. She finished ninth in the 50-meter back (26.52), 12th in the 100 back (57.73), 18th in the 200 back (2:07.67).
SUMMER 2016 - RIO OLYMPICS
- Competed at the 2016 Olympics as a member of the Netherlands team
- Placed 18th in the 100-meter backstroke, two spots away from the semifinal round
- First women's swimmer in program history to compete in the Olympics while currently on the Tennessee team

- Anchored the NCAA Runner-up 200 freestyle relay
- Earned First Team All American Honors finishing 8th in the 100 backstroke
- Swam the leadoff leg of the 14th place 200 medley relay, earned Honorable Mention All American Honors
- Earned Honorable Mention All American Honors finishing 10th in the 100 freestyle
- Lead off the First Team All American 400 freestyle relay which placed 8th

- Set four individual Florida Gulf Coast University program records: 100 backstroke(51.68), 200 backstroke(1:53.72), 200 freestyle(1:47.02), and 100 butterfly(53.46)

- Mother Jolanda is an Olympic gold medalist for the 100 meter backstroke and took bronze for the 200 meter backstroke both in the 1984 Olympics
